Under-an-Hour DIYs You Can Do Too!
More about... A graduate from the University of California, Irvine with a bachelor's degree in Economics. Over 20 years in Finance. Resides outside of Chicago. Has two grown children and enjoys laughing, funky fests, Chicago sports, and long walks.
What I came up with were simple (under-an-hour) projects for creating, reviving, or repurposing items with minimal time, money, and effort. And given my "natural" artistic acumen, rest assured these design projects are very easy!
Some of my inspiration comes from designers’ catalogs and portfolios where I’ve figure out ways to recreate their looks in my home with minimal cost and time. Others come finding items in my home that I gave a new purpose and function. But, most are inspired when I say, “There’s gotta be a better way.”
Whether it’s stylish storage for a multi-functioning room or creating a no-sew seat cushion, these under-one-hour projects require only a child’s skill level... but produce a functional style and zen design you can be proud of.

Who is Ms. Buttons?
Ms. Buttons is my loyal assistant who is by my side during the inventive and creative process. A Maltese puppy, she came into my life in May of 2021… after the passing of prior furry assistant, Scruffy, a Shih Tzu mix.
