So here’s a quick, easy, and inexpensive dish drying rack space saving idea for any kitchen that actually adds counter space to your kitchen.

I used to lay out a dish towel on my kitchen counter before placing hand-washed dishes or those requiring extra drying time after the dishwasher. Check your sink measurements before ordering. Allow an extra inch to securely straddle sink and support weight of plates, pots, and pans. 

Instructions

• Position/ lay rack over sink as shown in photo below

• Place dishes on drying rack allowing for drips into sink (rather than into draining board tray collecting hard water and scum buildup)

• Roll up and store on counter or in cabinet or drawer when not in use

Unlike the old-school dish drying racks, the roll up drying rack is dishwasher safe. However, I simply clean with Dawn or my natural kitchen multipurpose cleaner which works well too.
