The beauty of a jersey fitted sheet is its soft, stretchy fabric. It easily hugs many square or rectangular couch cushions, creating a cleaner, more polished look without the bulk, stiffness, or expense of a traditional slipcover.

• ​Twin Size Cotton Jersey Fitted Sheet... (a 16-inch deep-pocket style works well)

A fitted sheet with a pocket depth of about 16 inches typically provides enough fabric to grip the cushions securely while still laying neatly. Deeper-pocket sheets can leave excess fabric that may bunch or require additional tucking, resulting in a less streamlined appearance.

For the best results, choose a jersey sheet in the 140–150 thread count range. A slightly textured fabric tends to blend more naturally with upholstery and gives the couch a fuller, more substantial appearance. Extremely smooth sheets can sometimes look too much like bedding, while a bit of texture helps the cover feel more like part of the sofa itself.

Instructions

Wash the Sheet... Remove the sheet from the package and wash it first. This softens the fabric, removes packaging wrinkles, and helps it fit more naturally.

Remove Seat Cushions (Optional)... If your cushions are removable, you can pull them forward slightly. This makes positioning easier.

Fit the Sheet Over the Seat Cushions... Stretch the fitted sheet across the seat cushions just as you would a mattress. The elastic edges help hold everything in place.

Tuck Excess Behind the Seat Cushions... Push the excess fabric into the crevice behind the seat cushions and beneath the back cushions. (Psst… There won’t be a lot to tuck). This creates a smoother, more tailored appearance.

Adjust and Smooth... Pull gently where needed and smooth out wrinkles.

Done. Seriously. That's the entire project!
